What if your next birthday could be more than a celebration of another year? What if it could be an opportunity to support something you truly care about?

That’s the idea behind The Good Gift, a new giving program from Santa Rosa Women for Good. The program invites members to turn their birthdays and special occasions into opportunities to give back, choosing a local nonprofit and cause that reflects their own passions.

200 women. 127 Impact Members. Thousands of dollars invested in our community. And so much more good ahead.

Last week we celebrated a milestone that feels pretty incredible: Santa Rosa Women for Good has officially reached 200 members!

Last weekend, a wonderful group of our members spent their Saturday volunteering at Our Village Closet's Annual Back to School Event. Together with dozens of other volunteers, we helped hundreds of local children and youth impacted by foster care prepare for the upcoming school year.

Thanks to the continued support of our Impact Members and the addition of new members joining our mission, we are thrilled to award one $6,500 Grow the Good Impact Grant and two $1,500 Seed Grants this quarter. We are honored to support three incredible Sonoma County organizations doing important work to make our community stronger, healthier, and more compassionate.

This month we launched a Back-to-School Supply Drive to benefit children served by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa and our members generously donated backpacks, school supplies, lunch boxes, water bottles, and classroom essentials to help set local students up for success.

Last Friday, a group of our members had the privilege of spending the morning volunteering with Ceres Community Project, one of our past grant recipients. It was an inspiring day filled with learning, connection, and plenty of chopping, stirring, and preparing nutritious meals for neighbors in our community.

From welcoming new faces and reconnecting with longtime members to packing 60 backpacks for local students and announcing our biggest grant cycle yet, our July Happy Hour was a beautiful reminder of what's possible when women come together to make a difference.

BIG NEWS: Santa Rosa Women for Good is growing the good in a whole new way! Because our community has grown and because so many women want to be part of this movement for good, we are excited to announce that we are able to expand our grant program in an exciting and meaningful way.

Today, a group of Women for Good members traded their usual routines for gloves and an assembly line as we gathered at the Redwood Empire Food Bank for our quarterly volunteer shift.

Over the weekend Santa Rosa Women for Good gathered for a special combination coffee meetup and volunteer opportunity at the Our Village Closet’s resource center in Santa Rosa, an opportunity for to connect and also do some good together.

Last night we gathered for one of our favorite kinds of evenings: good conversation, meaningful connection, and the chance to celebrate the impact we are making together. The evening marked an especially exciting milestone for our group as we officially celebrated our $10,000 grant award to Wiley's Wish.

We are thrilled to share that Wiley’s Wish Animal Rescue has been selected by our members as the recipient of Santa Rosa Women for Good’s $10,000 Grow the Good Spring Grant!

This week a group of our members spent the afternoon volunteering at the Redwood Empire Food Bank, helping sort and pack food that will go directly to individuals and families throughout our region.

For the past several months, we have been working toward an exciting goal: growing Santa Rosa Women for Good to 100 members so we could award our largest community grant yet, $10,000 to a local nonprofit. And this week, it happened!

Over the weekend, members of Santa Rosa Women for Good spent a rewarding day outdoors volunteering with LandPaths, supporting hands-on efforts to improve forest health and reduce wildfire risk in our region.

Our February Galentine’s Happy Hour Social was truly one for the books. With 30 women coming together for a relaxed evening of connection and conversation, the energy in the room was warm, joyful, and deeply affirming of why Santa Rosa Women for Good exists.

We’re so excited to share some big news: Santa Rosa Women for Good is now officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization! We are looking forward to creating new ways for women to connect, build relationships, and do good together.
