Gardening for Good with Food For Thought

  • Food For Thought Garden 6550 Railroad Avenue Forestville, California, 95436 United States (map)

Join us for an upcoming garden volunteer shift with Food For Thought in Forestville! This is a great opportunity to spend time together, get a little dirty, and support a wonderful local organization doing important work in our community.

Food For Thought provides nutritious food to people living with serious medical conditions in Sonoma County. Their garden plays an important role in that mission, growing fresh, organic fruits and vegetables for the people they serve.

🌿 What we'll be doing:

Garden volunteers help maintain and harvest fresh produce. Tasks may include planting, weeding, working in the greenhouse, building compost, and harvesting fruits and vegetables. No gardening experience necessary!

👟 What to bring:

  • Closed-toe shoes (required!)

  • Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty

  • Water and sunscreen

  • A sun hat, if needed

Volunteers should be comfortable moving around the garden, bending and leaning for gardening tasks, and lifting up to 10 pounds.

❤️ Come spend some time outdoors, connect with fellow Women for Good members, and make a difference together!

We're looking for 10-12 women ideally, so please sign up if you'd like to join us! RSVP here or by email.
